In exchange for protection,
It broke off its flight feathers,
Bird in a cage.

The moon grows full and wanes to show the change in time.
The outline of feathers draw a constellation.
I wonder since when
I’ve started touching it through the cage like this?
Every time it sung with its beautiful voice,
It changed the cage into an impenetrable castle.

The poison dripping from this flower
Mends the drying of its roots;
A splash of instinct seeping out from the cage!
So, even if you are not an angel,
You’re like a bird in the hand;
I wanna always keep you warm,
Therefore for now, sleep in the cradle.

The familiar rain that runs along my skin
Washes away the mud packed in every corner.
The color that proves my existence is certainly flowing.
Kicking off the sludge beneath our feet,
Let’s escape from inside this tiny framework.

Losing sight of the flower I entrusted to the wind,
I’m certain it’ll sprout somewhere in the distance.
If I opened this cage,
You would certainly go there too.

Opening the locked doors of the same number as solitude,
I wanna rest my wings upon your shoulder.
So, even if you know that I can fly freely,
I wanna be the bird in your hand;
I wanna always sing by your side,
Therefore, caress and teach me
With the warmth of those hands.
